Sia is a former, educator and youth pastor with an extensive background serving first-gen and immigrant communities.  A proud first-gen of Sierra Leonian parents, Sia has developed and managed out-of-school time programming for many years. Sia has spent some time teaching in Fiji, and the Dominican Republic. Before joining EDMO™ Sia developed a mentoring program for girls in grades 4-12, and taught third grade (her favorite)!  Sia is an avid reader and collects ‘Goldn Girls’ paraphernalia.  Sia is excited at the prospect of creating memorable summer experiences for deserving youth and wants to create a space where all youth can be motivated, educated, and inspired.

“The summer of 2019 will be a great one! Let’s learn, laugh, and love. This will be a wonderful experience for not only the staff, but students and families as well!” – Sia Magadan, Equity Programs Region Manager
