Kendall is so incredibly excited to join the Camp EDMO team this year as an SEL/STEAM Coach! She has worked with children in varying capacities for most of her life- from volunteering as a neighborhood babysitter as a teen, to serving as an elementary school mental health counselor in Richmond this year. She’s found her passion for helping kids build their self-esteem and talk through tough emotions. Kendall is a recent graduate of the MSW program at Cal Berkeley and hopes to one day open her own private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in child and family therapy. When she isn’t at camp, she’s probably: tending to her many houseplants, singing the ABC’s backward, writing poetry, or enjoying some fun in the sun with her black lab, Simba! She’s ready to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and exhilarating summer camp experience for the kids and families here in Alameda.

Ruby Bridges Summer Program

Ruby Bridges is a FREE summer camp program. This program is funded by the Alameda Unified School District. Campers attend a half-day, district-run summer school in the morning then transition to a Camp EDMO™ half-day STEAM & SEL-focused program in the afternoon.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the Alameda Unified School District Nutrition Services. We strongly recommend packing an eco-friendly water bottle each day to make sure your camper stays hydrated. All of our facilities have water fountains. If you bring any of your own food, please do not bring any products that contain nuts.
