Dinosaur Day and Science Fest

Are you ready? It’s almost time for the Dinosaur Day & Science Fest at Sierra College! Past Dino Days have featured live animal exhibitions, tours, planetarium shows, paleontological digs, physics & chemistry demonstrations, face painting, and so much more. Each year, participation grows, and we expect well over 4,000 visitors this year. The best part? This fun, family event increases enthusiasm for science content, critical thinking, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) education.
For 50 years, the Sierra College Natural History Museum has provided school children, college students, and families with eye-opening educational experiences that spark imaginations and expand minds. From Dinosaur Days, to field trip visits from local schools, to hands-on learning experiences for Sierra College students, the Natural History Museum has served as a one-of-a-kind resource for Placer County and the greater Sacramento region.
Event proceeds will help with everything from exhibit fabrication and maintenance, to
educational programs and ongoing refurbishment that is critical to our success as an important
community resource.
