Roblox World Builders

Grades: 3-4

All Programs

Team up with fellow campers to build an epic Roblox world! In Roblox World Builders, campers will use Roblox Studio to design and build a 3D game world. Using the “Team Build” feature in Roblox Studio, campers will be able to collaborate in a shared digital space in real time. They’ll construct towering castles, design futuristic homes, sculpt mountains, carve canyons, and create anything else they and their team can imagine. We’ll even cover the basics of Roblox coding to bring parts of our camper’s worlds to life!

21st Century & SEL Skill Focus: Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Initiative, Problem Solving, Empathy. Learn more about other skills we build through The EDMO Method®.

Take a look at your camper's daily schedule below, under sample projects!

Sample Projects

Build Epic Structures

Build Epic Structures

Campers will design and construct different buildings, vehicles and decorations, as well as other objects. Once the basic shapes have been assembled, campers will fine-tune their creations with a selection of colors, materials and decals.

Campers will learn the core tools for 3D modeling and practice creating complex structures by manipulating and combining primitive 3D components like blocks, spheres and cylinders.

Shape Grand Landscapes

Shape Grand Landscapes

Campers will work with Roblox Studio’s “Terrain Editor”, which will allow them to shape and sculpt fields, mountains, rivers, canyons, glaciers, volcanoes, and any other landscapes they can imagine.

Campers will learn about and practice using the “Terrain Editor” in Roblox Studio. They’ll also learn how to use the Generator tool to automatically generate randomized landscapes based on customizable parameters.

Collaborative World-Building

Collaborative World-Building

At the start of the week, campers will collaborate as they learn the ropes of Roblox Studio. As their skills develop later on, campers will use the “Team Build” feature in Roblox Studio to join a shared editing environment and combine their efforts into an epic project!

As campers work together in a shared space, they’ll build 21st Century and SEL skills like collaboration, communication, task management, responsibility, and empathy

Sample Schedule

  • A Day in the Life...

Some kids thrive on routines and harmony. Others not so much. Good news! We’ve found the secret recipe that works for all EDMO campers!

Prime & Max 1st Half Day Schedule

Check In
9:30 AM (PST)

To ensure your child’s safety and privacy, we have a moderated check-in process that takes approximately 10-15 minutes. As children log in, they’ll be greeted and asked their name and where they’re from!

Opening Rally
9:40 AM (PST)

You never know what surprises await when staff and kids get together. At rally, we’ll share songs, skits, jokes, and ridiculous contests. We might even dress up!

Enrichment 1
9:50 AM (PST)

During enrichment stations, campers really get into the weekly theme and curriculum. Campers are introduced to the weekly subject and concepts, learn new skills and facts, and design, create and build daily and/or weekly projects.

Break
10:50 AM (PST)

Everybody needs a break now and then. This the perfect time for campers to stretch, go the restroom or grab a quick snack before they wind up their morning or afternoon of camp.

Rec 1
11:05 AM (PST)

Just because we’re online doesn’t mean that campers can’t get some physical exercise as well. During our Rec periods, campers will get up and moving with stretching, yoga, jump roping, silly dance moves, and more!

Team Time
11:20 AM (PST)

In Team Time, we focus on team building and community. We get to know our teammates names, meet our Kimochis’ friends and create group names and cheers. We also take time to strengthen our SEL skills and focus on the EDMO RECIPE of Responsibility, Empathy, Collaboration, Initiative, Problem Solving, and Emotion Management. Every day is different and we may do this through literature, various methods of meditation, group activities and/or positive vibes. We work on being curious, courageous and kind HUMANS.

Closing Rally
11:50 AM (PST)

Whether morning or afternoon, our closing rally ends the day in an upbeat way. This gives staff a chance to wrap up the day, make announcements for the days to follow and give SNAPS!

End of Day
12:00 PM (PST)

We know, it’s hard to leave behind all that camp fun. Don’t worry, we’ll all be coming back again tomorrow.
