Roblox Code Kingdoms

Grades: 3rd-4th

All Programs

In this digital kingdom of Roblox game design, it’s the campers who rule!  Campers will create an array of Roblox mini-games using Code Kingdoms, a drag-and-drop coding environment for Roblox Studio. By picking from a library of Code Kingdoms projects and tutorial videos, each pair of campers will be able to set their own pace and goals for their game development projects. Campers will build, program and customize 3D game levels, objects, mechanics, objectives, and more.

21st Century & SEL Skill Focus: Initiative, Responsibility, Problem Solving, Collaboration. Learn more about other skills we build through The EDMO Method®.

Take a look at your camper's daily schedule below, under sample projects!

Sample Projects

Goal in One

Goal in One

In this beginner project, campers will create a super-sized golf course, where the player pushes a giant golf ball through the course. Campers will be able to add obstacles, ramps and decorations.

Campers will be introduced to the basics of programming in Code Kingdoms, covering concepts like variables, functions and events.

Terrain Tools

Terrain Tools

In this upgraded version of “hide and seek”, the players will alter the terrain of the game world by either adding terrain material or digging through it.

Campers will learn how to make more complex objectives based on both timers and teams, using coding concepts like loops and conditionals.

Ninja Obby

Ninja Obby

This intermediate project will challenge campers to create a randomly-generating “obby” (short for “obstacle course”), complete with spinning platforms, vehicles and prizes for victorious players.

In this project, campers will use more advanced coding concepts like arrays, classes and refactoring.

Sample Schedule

  • A Day in the Life...

Some kids thrive on routines and harmony. Others not so much. Good news! We’ve found the secret recipe that works for all EDMO campers!

DAY/TIME: 3rd-4th sample schedule
Early Care

Need to get to work early? We understand. By 8 am our staff is already hard at work helping our campers make new friends, doing arts & crafts projects and playing games.

Be greeted by name or a high five by a professional staff member…dressed in a mermaid costume or a Viking hat. In a hurry? Pull up and we’ll open the door for you. In no rush? Park your car, come right in and shake your counselor’s fin.

Morning Rally

Although we have a strict “No Nuts” food policy, we have also have a strict “Go Nuts” rally policy. You never know what surprises await when staff and kids take the stage for songs, skits, dress up days, and ridiculous contests.

Game Time

Game Time is all about playing games and having some good ‘ol run-around time. During Game Time, campers will participate in organized recreation activities designed to promote teamwork, collaboration and fun physical activity.

Active minds lead to hungry bellies! Don’t forget to pack a healthy snack for your camper every morning…with no nuts of course! Remember: If you ordered a delicious lunch, you automatically receive a healthy morning snack!

Enrichment 1

During enrichment stations, campers really get into the weekly theme and curriculum. Campers are introduced to the weekly subject and concepts, learn new skills and facts, and design, create and build daily and weekly projects.

Lunch available at your location?  It’s a snap to add a delicious lunch each day! Just click/check the lunch box on your enrollment form and a quality lunch will be delivered to camp daily. Packing you own lunch? Please just do not bring any products that contain: cashews, almonds, brazil nuts, pine nuts, walnuts or heaven forbid, the “Mother of All Nut Allergies”—the peanut.

Enrichment 2

During enrichment stations, campers really get into the weekly theme and curriculum. Campers are introduced to the weekly subject and concepts, learn new skills and facts, and design, create and build daily and weekly projects.

Team Time

In Team Time, we focus on team building and community. We get to know our teammates names, meet our Kimochis’ friends, create group names and cheers, and play the EDMO Vibe™ Game. We also take time to strengthen our SEL skills and focus on the EDMO RECIPE of Responsibility, Empathy, Collaboration, Initiative, Problem Solving and Emotion Management. Every day is different and we may do this through literature, various methods of meditation, group activities and/or positive vibes. Team time is where the words on our shirts come to fruition and we work on being curious, courageous and kind HUMANS.

Closing Rally

Our Afternoon rally ends the day in an upbeat way. This gives staff  a chance to wrap up the day, make announcements for the days to follow and give SNAPS!

Pull up or walk up, whichever you fancy. Either way we’ll make a point to let you know something special about your child’s day. Look out for our daily email from the Camp Director detailing the activities at your camp location, along with a reminder to visit EDMO At Home to see what to look forward to tomorrow and suggested activities, books, websites, museum exhibitions, and more ways to keep the curiosity going.

After Care, PM Snack & Free Play

Need a little more time in your day? Our After Care Program is a great option. Campers stay safe while parents or guardians finish up the work day or sneak in that last appointment before picking up the kids. While you’re away, campers can play as they enjoy a little more free time with each other and staff. After Care goes from 3 pm – 6 pm but parents can pick up whenever works for them…but no later than 6 pm please! Our staff needs to get home too.

“My kids have never had a better camp experience than this week at Camp EDMO. Both want to be camp counselors when they grow up. Thanks for all your hard work and making their day so fun!”
– Valerie K., 3rd Grade Rocklin Parent
