Camp Director

Chris Salazar Chris Salazar
Chris Salazar

Chris couldn’t be more excited to be joining CAMP EDMO for his first summer as Camp Director at Palo Alto! The previous three summers, Chris has performed a variety of roles at the Los Altos EDMO location, such as counselor and instructor for the EDMO and EDMO PRO (formerly known as Edtech) programs as well as the Assistant Camp Director last year. Originally from San Jose, Chris has spent the last 3 years in Boston where he attended Boston University, from which he graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Psychological and Brain Sciences after originally attending San Jose State University. During the school year, Chris is a fifth grade teacher with a passion for all things education. His favorite subjects to teach are math and science, though he really does enjoy participating in PE with his kids even though he doesn’t teach it! When not at camp or in the classroom, he loves to be active and run the hills of Los Gatos, play guitar, and spend time with his baby sister. Chris is excited and eager to see new both new and returning faces this summer and is pumped for what is sure to be a summer to remember at Palo Alto!

“I couldn’t be happier and more excited to be at Palo Alto this summer!! While it’s a new location for me, I’m so thrilled to see new faces, make new friends, and spend my summer with you all! I hope that you all are ready for some excitement, fun, learning, pies, and most importantly, to rock the EDMO vibe!”
— Chris Salazar, Palo Alto Camp Director

PS: Sad to hear Kendra won’t be directing? Good news! She will be making a guest appearance as Camp Director for the first week!
