After spending last summer as Camp Director in Corte Madera, Rachel is over the moon to be joining the year-round EDMO team, as the North Bay Region Manager. Growing up Rachel was a serial day camper turned CIT and counselor. She’s a huge fan of what camp experiences can do to enhance a child’s growth and capacity to learn. Before going back to school for her masters in advertising, she taught enrichment classes, worked at an after-school program, and taught first grade and Kindergarten.  For the last six years, Rachel has spent her days teaching and training adults on how to improve their work performance and helping brands build connections with their customers. She’s delighted to have the opportunity to live in the world of child enrichment and camp shenanigans year-round! Outside of work, Rachel likes to read, write, explore Marin, and see live music.

“I’m excited to embark on an EDMO adventure this summer as Region Manager! I can’t wait to meet all the new campers, counselors, and parents who will be joining us in Marin and Sonoma. This summer is going to be epic!” – Rachel Shensa, North Bay Region Manager

It starts with kids entering Pre-K and Kindergarten. While they play, create and make friends, they get used to routines and absorb SEL skills. Whether it’s learning to play collaboratively or express emotions, our EDMO Jr campers flex their growing mind, body and spirit. Nappers welcome! (must be age 4 by June 1 and potty trained)

Say hello to next generation learning, fueled by old-school values. EDMO Prime kids rock the vibe and participate in activities as original they are.

During grades 3-4, this is when our EDMO Max campers really start growing into their own identities. We give them a platform to experiment, define what they love to do, express emotions, and form deeper friendships.

Our EDMO™ Leader-in-Training (LIT) program is for those entering 9th grade and older, looking to build leadership and child development skills in themselves…and rockets, slime and pickle batteries with our campers. LITs are given a chance to be of service, cultivate strengths and build the foundation for leadership positions in the future.
