Tina Misuraca

Tina is excited to rejoin the EDMO team this year as a Camp Director. She worked with the summer program last year as a Science Instructor at the Rocklin-Sierra College location. She had previously worked as a Camp Director at the Mill Valley Park and Recreation’s summer camp. She received the position after working as one of their camp counselors. Tina went to school at Chico State where she received Bachelors Degrees in Microbiology and Psychology, as well as a minor in Chemistry. While there, she participated in the Chico State Hands-On Science Lab program as an Instructor. She also volunteered in classrooms around the Chico area and at the Gateway Science Museum as a Microbiology Instructor. An avid backpacker, Tina is all about being active and exploring the great outdoors. She has a passion for botany and horticulture. If she isn’t outside, Tina can be found drawing, painting, or crafting. All things right in line with that EDMO vibe!

“I can’t remember a time that camp has not been in my life. So many summer adventures have ingrained in me that excited-for-camp spirit. I cant wait to once again aid in creating the joyful memories and learning experiences that camp had brought to me, because every kid should be given the chance to make new friends, try new things and explore the world around them.”

— Tina Miscuraca, Folsom Camp Director

Kadira has worked with CAMP EDMO for the last 3 years and is super excited to be returning for year number 4! She has experience as an instructor and counselor. She will be a college senior in the Fall. In her free time, she likes to golf, hike, and explore the pacific coast.

Morgan Glover graduated from California State University, Sacramento in May with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and minor in Sociology. She is SO excited to be part of the CAMP EDMO team! She spends most of her time advocating for others including young girls getting involved in STEM. Morgan is a jack-of-all-trades and can code, sew, craft, dress up, sing songs, AND dissect a brain. Her future plans (hopefully) involve graduate school for Neuroscience and teaching as a professor to mentor the next generation. When she’s not in camp mode, she feels like she should be, and spends time with her cat Webster and planning for world domination and equality for all.

Anastasiya is ecstatic to be joining CAMP EDMO as an instructor this year! Anastasiya has a growing passion for youth enrichment and is extremely enthusiastic about CAMP EDMO all year round. She has been going to various camps her entire life, and can’t imagine her summers without one. Summer camp is even where her love for helping kids learn sparked, and it is simply the best thing ever! It was only a matter of time before she found her sweet spot as an Instructor for the School Year EDMO 360 Program several years ago, and how could she not jump into camp as well? Anastasiya holds Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Russian from UC Davis, and will forever be a student of her students. She believes that each child has the potential for great things, and so it is her mission to plant seeds of curiosity and excitement to help them thrive. Apart from having fun with EDMO throughout the year, Anastasiya enjoys substitute teaching, growing her calligraphy business, and singing for her husband’s worship band. Anastasiya also loves adventure! She loves exploring new cities and hiking trails, experimenting with coffee, playing Words with Friends, creating art, reading books and, her favorite- people watching. Now she can’t wait to help create the most amazing summer adventures at CAMP EDMO, once again!

Jasmine can’t wait for the summer to start, so she can continue her new journey with CAMP EDMO! She is currently a full time student at The Art Institutes of California – Sacramento, studying toward her life’s passion, a Bachelor’s of Science in Filmmaking. She’s worked on over 25 projects, including short films, feature films, and commercials, as well as having written and directed three of her own. In the spring of 2015, Jasmine was part of Cinequest Film Festival’s “Picture the Possibilities” program, in which she and her partner in cinematography taught and mentored 8 middle school students through the process of making their very own short film, “Wearing Me”! Jasmine is looking so forward to this summer with CAMP EDMO, and getting to share her passion and experience with campers who just might want to pursue film themselves!

Whitney is a current student at Biola University learning about education and English. She loves the mountains but will go to the beach anytime someone asks. Whitney’s favorite things include sea otters, dogs of all sizes, reading, Disneyland, drinking coffee (not too much), sushi, froyo, and making stupid jokes with her brother. Whitney can’t wait to work at CAMP EDMO and learn alongside the kids in the camp!

Grant is an outgoing and energetic college student at Auburn University, pursuing a degree in marketing. In his free time Grant loves watching and playing basketball with friends and being outdoors. Grants favorite outdoor activities are hiking and kayaking at Lake Tahoe. This last year Grant has been a weekly volunteer with the Special Olympics and the Boys and Girls club in the Auburn area and couldn’t be more excited to join the EDMO team this summer.

A lifelong athlete, Hannah enjoys anything that gets her moving. Translating that passion for activity into her education, Hannah is majoring in Kinesiology and Physical Education at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. When home, Hannah spends her free time watching nature documentaries and exploring the local Sierra Nevada or nearest available museum.

Bailee Labanowski was born and raised in Sacramento, California. Bailee currently attends Boise State University in Boise, Idaho and will be starting her fourth year in August. Baileeis pursing a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. Bailee loves being around children and believes they bring a certain joy to everything they do. When she isn’t studying, she is enjoying the outdoors or hanging out with friends. She enjoys going for long distance runs when she has the time. This will be her first year as a camp counselor for CAMP EDMO and she couldn’t be more excited.

Madeline is a recent graduate of William Jessup University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and with a CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. When she isn’t working as a substitute teacher, Madeline enjoys watching and quoting movies, hiking, playing sports, and going to Disneyland. She has volunteered as an after school tutor and youth basketball and volleyball coach. Madeline is excited to join the CAMP EDMO team to learn and explore alongside the kids.

Sydney loves science and is passionate about sharing the joy and adventure of learning with children and youth! Sydney studied at Sierra College and CSU Sacramento to earn her B.S. in Biological Sciences with concentrations in Cell & Molecular Biology and Biomedical Sciences, and is now working towards earning a teaching credential for both biology and chemistry. She has years of experience working with children of all ages as a tutor, in-class presenter, and after-school instructor. Sydney loves to see children’s faces light up with excitement and joy as they follow their curiosity and make fun discoveries! When she has free time, Sydney loves to spend time with her husband (a.k.a. her best friend!) and her two dachshunds, as well as reading and in nature!
