Merre is so incredibly excited to be back in Elk Grove for another round of CAMP EDMO fun! Merre has been working hard during the school year and recently graduated from California State University, Sacramento with two teaching credentials in both special and general education. In the past, Merre has worked with the Scaramento area EDMO360 team while also student teaching in classrooms of her own as well as directing the very first CAMP EDMO Summer camp in Elk Grove last summer. She knows exactly what it means to rock that EDMO vibe and encourage campers to do the same! She hopes to continue to rock that same vibe in her own classroom this August! Merre loves having a blast with kids of all ages and works hard to see that they get the most out of their experience with Camp EDMO. When Merre isn’t teaching or at camp, she loves baking yummy treats, getting lost in a great book, finding new hikes to enjoy, or going on grand, spontaneous adventures with her Corgi named Tucker Waffles.
“After directing EDMO Elk Grove last summer, I have been dreaming all school year about all of the fun that awaits me at camp this season! Can’t wait to start rockin’ that vibe at Elliot Ranch for a second year! Not only does CAMP EDMO provide its campers with incredibly fun and educational activities, but it also strives to make sure that campers feel important and cared for in every which way. I am so looking forward to seeing some familiar faces this summer for round two as well as meeting the ones that are new!”
— Merre Jope, Elk Grove Camp Director
