Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School
About the Campus
Our Berkeley location at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School boasts all of the amenities; large green field, access to King School Park & Playground, amphitheater for raucous rallies, and a tidy white zone for seamless pick-up and drop-off. We’ll be using the school’s Science Wing, making it an EDMOtastic environment that is perfect for learning and fun!
David is an aspiring teacher, artist, & animator, as well as an overall fun loving guy. In the past, David regularly volunteered with local youth groups in Contra Costa County, working with elementary and middle school students. In 2017, he graduated from San Francisco State with a Bachelors in Art Education and a minor in Animation. At SF State, he was able to study a wide variety of interests from classical and digital art disciplines to history and education. David is very interested in how Social Emotional Learning skills apply in the EDMO programs. Currently David is enjoying his work as an Instructor in the after school program and is really excited to join Berkeley this summer as the Camp Director.
“As an aspiring educator, I’m looking forward to a fun summer of creative learning. But I’m more excited to see what the campers will create.” – David Wilcox; Berkeley Camp Director
