Makeropolis (K – 5th)

Design and build the city of the future! Campers will be collaborating to incorporate elements of design thinking and the civil engineering process as they plan, design, prototype and test their metropolis. They will include skyscrapers, bridges, homes and even hovercraft, as they navigate their city! Campers will take a trip to the past to look at ancient cities, arrive in the present to study modern architecture and zoom into the future to create sustainable solutions for large urban landscapes.

Ingenious Innovators (K – 5th)

Discover a world of invention and exploration! This week, campers will be introduced to some of the most famous inventions and inventors from the past and present. They will harness the power of the engineering design process to design and build prototypes using the same tools, skills and thinking methods employed by famous innovators. Leader-In-Training (9th+)

Our EDMO® Leader-in-Training (LIT) program is for youth entering 9th-12th grade of high school who want to build leadership and facilitation skills. (Students graduating 8th grade in the Fall of the current academic year may apply.) Our LIT program focuses on team bonding and a deepened sense of responsibility, in both the day-to-day interactions and overall vibe and camp experience. Leaders-in-Training cultivate strengths, gain community service hours, access to a network of support in the enrichment field, and lay the foundation for leadership positions in the future. Please note: LIT’s will no longer go through a 1-day interview/training process. LIT’s will instead receive a training packet and have the option to help the camp staff with site set up. Learn more on our LIT Program Page!

Alameda (Equity) Summer Program

Our Alameda (Equity) camp is a FREE summer camp program. This program is funded by the Alameda Unified School District. Campers attend a half-day, district-run summer school in the morning then transition to a Camp EDMO® half-day STEAM & SEL-focused program in the afternoon.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the Alameda Unified School District Nutrition Services. We strongly recommend packing an eco-friendly water bottle each day to make sure your camper stays hydrated. All of our facilities have water fountains. If you bring any of your own food, please do not bring any products that contain nuts.
